About the teacher, Larna Smith

My name is Larna Smith of McClement Textiles interior accessories www.mcclementtextiles.com www.pinterest.com/larnasmith/mcclement-textiles-a-z-imade I’ve been sewing since the age of 3. I know it isn’t PC now for a 3yrs old to be playing with needles, but I loved watching my mother making fabulous clothes and things for the home and I just could not wait…so I had the best dressed dolls in town. As you can tell I have a passion sewing and passing on sewing knowledge. That initial excitement I used to get about sewing is still with me today. I studied Fashion Design at university and now run a small independent business. I have decided to set up a series of sewing workshops, teaching a range of sewing techniques including up-cycling and re-styling. I see sewing as an invaluable skill (it will also save you loads of money) that everyone should learn. ‘So let’s get you sewing’
