The end goal of the class is to be able to make your coffee at home better than ever before. We are bringing various ways to make coffee at home and instruct the class on whatever they want. We are teaching aero-press and pour overs etc.

Bring one of the following:
3-5 photos of our coffee that are social media ready (they can be submitted before or after taking the course)
3-6 bottles of craft root beer
Chocolate?
Locally made donuts or other local pastries

About the teacher, Greg Cotta & Benza Cox-Lance

Benza Cox-Lance is the director of coffee at Seasons Coffee Roasters. He is the guy who finds all of our coffees and roasts them to perfection. He spent 6 years at Temple before co-founding Insight, so he may even be a better barista than roaster. He can teach an excellent course on home brewing, as coffee at home is our jam. Whether it be perfecting a French press or nailing your mason jar of cold brew, Ben can teach it really well. Saturday evening, the 17th would work well for us because we are taking over Nido on R Street for a Pop-up coffee event that morning. We'd be able to promote it all day. If you are also interested in a Display California signature blend that we could feature in our brewing course, as well as have available for sale on the shelf after the course, that would be very doable! Call or text me whenever you like! -Greg

"Come join me as I teach you about the fun and awesomeness that is painting with watercolor! This class is designed for people who want to incorporate a little art and creativity into their everyday lives without having to invest much money or get too technical. You will learn the basics of watercolor painting, mixing colors, blending, layering and more. Once we cover the basics, you’ll participate in a paint-a-long with the class and go home with your very own watercolor painting! I'm by no means an expert at watercolor, just a creative person that wanted to try it and loved it and I want to pass on that love and inspire others. I hope you will come away from this class with the same level of excitement about creating as I have. Also, I set a goal this year to teach some kind of a class before my next birthday, so I thought it would be fun to have the class ON my actual birthday, November 2nd! I hope you’ll join me for some creativity time and hopefully some balloons and cupcakes! I can't think of a better way to spend the evening!" All materials will be supplied. Ever ask yourself, “I wonder if can I buy a home?” or “Should I continue renting or buy a home?” There is quite a bit information and misinformation in purchasing real estate. How can one filter through all the jargon and not be deterred by the process? There are good and bad experiences occurring all the time. While some homeowners are empowered in their purchase, there are others who have had nightmarish experiences unfortunately. As you begin your journey in making the biggest purchases of your life, becoming educated in the home buying process, understanding your options, and setting your expectations will determine whether your experience will be positive or negative. The goal of our class is to provide the basics of the home buying process in order to prepare you for when the time is right to make home ownership a reality. The topics will include, but are not limited to: • What exactly is the process of home buying? • What will be my expenses in buying a home? • Am I even able to buy a home? How do I get approved for a loan? • What are differences between the many loan programs available to first time buyers? • What is down payment assistance? • Why even buy a home? • Home ownership and the affects in the community. • Renting vs Buying. • When is a good time to buy?
