Join us in saying farewell to our Trade School Pop Up Shop and an evening of DIY printing with Meagan Lewis from Brown Pigeon! Attendees will learn the incredibly fun and versatile art of block printing! We'll begin the class by making a simple "block" to print and then mix and roll out our own custom-blended colors of ink to print cards and gift wrap. Maybe you can even make a little print to hang on your wall or gift to a friend this holiday season.

Bring one of the following:
A book you have enjoyed (preferably an art, craft, design or cookbook!)
A handcrafted item from a local shop
Any printmaking supplies (vintage or new) such as brayers, linoleum cutters, ink, etc
Anything black and white
Bottle of wine or craft beer
Coffee beans
Craft supplies such as ribbon, blank stationery, labels, etc
Mixed CD (preferably indie, folk, alternative, rock)
Something else you’d like to offer (email your teacher before class)
Soy candle

About the teacher, Meagan Lewis

Hello! I'm Meagan, owner and maker behind Brown Pigeon, hand-carved rubber stamps. I am passionate about art, specifically printmaking, typography and design. I love teaching people how to make rubber stamps, print and embrace a DIY state of mind. I think art can be both beautiful and functional and I love helping people discover that they're much more creative than they think. I also love my dog Elvis, cooking, running, enjoying a cocktail with friends and live music and comedy. I'm from Sacramento but I've also lived in Utah, New York and the Bay Area. I obtained a BFA in 2D art/design from Weber St University in 2007.
