I'll introduce some fun ways to quickly improve your drawing, and some key concepts to help understand what it is we are doing when we're drawing and why realising a drawing is not the same as the thing we are drawing can really free us up.

Bring one of the following:
a book or magazine about art / psychology/ neuroscience
A folk or jazz cd
a pair of gloves
a piece of jewellery
a wooly hat
an old or new copy of resurgence magazine
art materials for future classes( eg 1 set of paints , or pastels or whatever)
colourful socks (size 9 +)
contribute an interesting object to draw for future classes
help renovating an old bike (equivalent amount of time)

About the teacher, Jack Godfre

I'm an artist. I draw a lot and teach contemporary and traditional drawing techniques. I keep a sketchbook religiously, usually having several on the go at once. I was always told off for daydreaming at school. Now it's part of my job description!
