Intro to Knitting

6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.

In this 2 hour workshop, you will learn the basics of knitting: casting on, knitting and purling, and casting off. By the end of class you will know all you need to get started on your first knitting project! ****Supplies students will need to bring to participate in class: One skein of yarn and the appropriate sized needles for that yarn. Pro tip: go to a yarn store for these items if you are unsure about which needle size you'll need (The Little Knittery in Atwater Village is my favorite).

Bring one of the following:
a 750ml craft IPA or sour beer (or 2 12oz bottles!)
a handmade ceramic bowl or planter
a mix cd based on the theme l.a. summer psych
a potted herb (dill, basil, mint, chive, etc.)
a skein of100% natural fiber yarn (wool, cotton, linen, alpaca, etc)
a ukelele lesson
an hour of yard work
Polaroid 600 film
