Rustic Dutch Oven Bread

A rustic round loaf of bread that is extremely simple to make! There is no kneading required. You can add spices, cheese, and other items to fit your flavor profile. Students will learn how to mix, proof and bake a loaf. Baked loaves will be available to sample with toppings like butter, cheese and honey! Please bring a bowl and spoon if you want to participate. *If you have any health / dietary concerns, please contact us before signing-up to determine whether the environment will be conducive to your health and safety.

Bring one of the following:
assistance/personal knowledge on building a zen garden (to be scheduled after class)
assistance/personal knowledge on homesteading/gardening (to be scheduled after class)
items for homesteading or gardening (check with me first)
items to build a zen garden like large, pretty rocks
meet up to do something fun and local that is cheap or free (antique shopping, brewery, winery, museum, etc. - talk before class)
something else you’d like to offer (you will coordinate a 1-1 exchange with the teacher)
something made or local to you (art, garden veggies, jam, honey, eggs, knitted/crocheted items, baked goods, soap, candles - no meat please)
to volunteer for this class as a facilitator (we’ll send you info!)

About the teacher, Amanda Lloyd-Jones

Although she is a baker by profession, Amanda strives to continually expand her knowledge of various new things and does not shy away from hard work in order to achieve a positive outcome. This makes for an enriching and full life at home, work and church. She also enjoys crafting and home improvement projects, especially when she's able to re-purpose old items into whatever she's working on!
