Get started on your own reusable plastic bag tote. We will learn how to cut plastic bags, make the yarn, and I will show some basic crochet stitches to get you started on a recycled “plastic bag bag.” A full-sized reusable tote takes more than 50 bags depending on the size and thickness. There will be some plastic sacks provided, but please bring at least 15 to get started. Also, if you have one, bring your own crochet hook, a size J or larger (I will have extras just in case). This is an excellent way to repurpose all the shopping bags piling up around you so they don’t end up in places they shouldn’t!
Bring one of the following:
*email email@example.com to volunteer at this class (this is your barter!)
*have your own goods or services to offer? arrange your own barter by emailing your teacher
a baked good made by you to share with the group (bring recipe, too!)
antique buttons or other tiny antique trinkets
anything round (ie. an antique circular shaped picture frame)
colorful/patterned vintage or used clothing in any size
local craft beer (no IPAs)
wildflowers to dry or interesting plants that would look beautiful dried
