Introduction to Grant Writing

In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of grant writing, from planning to submission. Strategies for developing a proposal, the components of competitive grant applications, and examples of successful grant applications will be reviewed. Students will have the opportunity to workshop a proposal in progress if they wish and will leave the class with the knowledge necessary to write their first grant.

Bring one of the following:
* a pledge to volunteer by facilitating a class (we'll send you info!)
* a Trade School Donation

A cool print
Fresh flowers
Kombucha, tea, or coffee

About the teacher, Lyndsay Crespo

Lyndsay Crespo provides strategic direction and writes grant proposals for the John Boner Neighborhood Centers, an Indianapolis nonprofit serving the Near Eastside community. She is also a board member for Trade School Indianapolis and Pogues Run Food Co-op. Apart from these activities, she enjoys jogging, cycling, yoga, meditation, gardening, and anything in the kitchen. She lives near Rabble with her three guinea pigs and sometimes gets around to practicing guitar.
