We want to make sure you know exactly how the process goes – from getting pre-qualified to closing and getting the keys handed over to you! We are lending, real estate and insurance professionals and want to help you as you embark on the exciting journey of home ownership! In this class, you will learn the basics of the home buying process, as well as helpful tips and things to consider! Even if you already own a home, we have valuable tips and best practices to make sure that your next purchase is smooth and stress-free! If you are an existing homeowner, feel free to bring a copy of your latest mortgage statement or insurance declaration page and we are happy to review and give advice! *Our class is accepting barter items that will be donated to the Legacy House. The Legacy House is an organization that provides free support and counseling services for adults and children who are victims of violence. They work with people from all walks of life who are facing a variety of challenges. We will have a representative from the organization at our class so you can learn more!
Bring one of the following:
*I have attended a training and arranged with Trade School to be the class volunteer
Art supplies including brushes, paints, 8 X 10 canvases, washable markers, construction paper, glue sticks, fabric markers and paints, fabric glue, stickers (especially butterflies), ribbons (all colors for decorating art) and so on
Books (Adult novels, children’s novels, children’s picture books, humor books, board books to give to parents of toddlers)
Boxes of tissues
Cases of small bottled water
Coffee and Tea and Hot Chocolate (assorted), individual creamers, 8-oz cups with lids, sugar and sweetener packets (for lobby coffee station).
New Hats, scarves, or mittens for children
Personal and wall calendars (2016) for clients to keep appointments.
School Supplies (paper, pencils, book bags, etc.)
Toys, Puzzles and Games, especially children’s board games
About the teacher, Kim Mathews
Kimberly Irving began her career in the mortgage industry over 15 years ago. She prides herself in providing borrowers of all credit grades with loans that are tailored to fit their individual financial needs. Clients looking to purchase a new home or refinance existing homes can count on her to analyze credit, income and assets to be sure she meets their needs and investor guidelines. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. Joe Smith is a full time Realtor working in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. His experience includes millions of dollars in closed transactions and graduating at the top of his class with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. As a Certified Negotiation Expert, he specializes in helping home buyers find their dream home while also achieving better results and control throughout the transaction. In his free time, Joe enjoys playing with his two amazing daughters and relaxing at the park. Kim Mathews has 5 years of insurance experience and 3 years of experience running an independent agency. She works with over 15 different companies and is able to shop rates through a variety of carriers. She is adamant about empowering her clients and prospects through education and encourages them to ask questions about anything that does not make sense. She has a black lab mix named Rigsby, and in her free time she enjoys traveling and camping.Join
