Getting Started with Woodworking

This class is for people who don't feel like Woodworkers! Getting into woodworking can be intimidating- if you have questions, don't know where to start, or don't see yourself as a typical "woodworker", this is for you. During this class we'll discuss ways to get started at home or on a small budget, basic tools, materials, and processes, opportunities to learn in the Indy area, and resources for further development...as well as anything else you may have questions about. Although tools will be provided for demonstration proposes, this will mainly be a hands-off learning session. *This class is accepting pantry goods as barter items that will be donated to Partners in Housing. PIH is an organization that provides low income housing, veteran housing, and housing to chronically homeless. We will information available about the organization at our class so you can learn more! About the teacher, Neil Ahrendt

Neil is a professional software developer and amateur woodworker. He is primarily interested in traditional hand-tool woodworking. He also likes coffee and angry music.
