Garage Sale Do's & Don'ts

6:00p.m. to 7:30p.m.
Chase Near Eastside Legacy Center
Chase Near Eastside Legacy Center at 727 N. Oriental St
Indianapolis US

As the saying goes, one person's trash is another person's treasure. Garage sales are perfect for not only selling your items, but for finding unique and inexpensive goods. We'll learn how to conduct a successful garage sale, from advertising, to setting up, to pricing, to dealing with leftovers, and everything in between. To really get a feel for hosting your own garage sale, we will put on a mock sale during class! Bring 5-10 small items you want to “sell” using pretend currency (provided). When the “sale” is over, you can trade with or give away to your classmates anything you don’t want to take home. Another option will be to donate things to various suggested fundraisers!

Bring one of the following:
pet supplies (canned food, liquid laundry detergent, bleach, papertowels, or scrubbie sponges) for the Southside Animal Shelter
unusual alphabet books (I already have Chicago, Elvis & Dinosaurs - no A is for Apple please!)
unusual tea strainers (no ball-shaped please!)
volunteer hours for this class as a facilitator (must be an approved TS facilitator)
