Indy Reads Books at 911 Mass Ave
This creative writing workshop is a laboratory for exploring the written voice. You will imitate the masters and try several different techniques, polishing your sense of what characteristics distinguish one writer from the next. This is both a writing and discussion class, where we will look at examples and identify techniques, imitate the technique ourselves, then read and discuss the results. Almost certainly with this method, you will begin to see signs of your own voice peeking through the exercises. Bring pen and paper, an open mind, and a sense of adventure! We will use different material than the Trade School “Developing Your Written Voice” workshop in Fall 2013.
Bring one of the following:
Heirloom Vegetable Seeds
Sheet Music for Piano (Jazz, Blues, Classical, etc.)
Unsalted Sunflower Seeds (To feed to chickens!)
