Advocacy: Story and Relationships

What is public policy advocacy? Can you really make a difference? How does your story help the cause? How can you succinctly make your point and raise your voice to decision-makers? We'll answer these questions together. Food will benefit the food pantry associated with LYN House community center in Windsor Park.

Bring one of the following:

boxed rice
boxed spaghetti
canned chunk chicken
canned refried beans
jarred jelly
jarred peanut butter
jarred salsa
jarred spaghetti sauce
local or handmade surprise
something else you'd like to offer (my contact info is in the registration email)

About the teacher, Lisa Marchal

Lisa is an eastside resident seasoned in public policy advocacy due to her 8 years of work with an international anti-poverty grassroots advocacy organization. She's also an amateur vocalist, avid traveler, and huge fan of U2.
