Here's what's involved!:
1. Plan how your class will be structured and create a class name, description as well as a personal teacher bio
2. Give us a list of 5 barter item you would like to receive from students in exchange for teaching your skills. Barter items can be in the form of goods or services such as veggies, seeds, clothing, or help with something such as a resume or graphic design (If you are unsure of what to chose, have a look at the Past section of our website to see what other teachers have requested).
3. We take care of the majority of promotion but please help us by sharing your class on social media
4. On the day of the class you will introduce yourself to the students, receive your desired barter items, and let the knowledge sharing commence!
Once you have submitted your class idea, we will suggest a venue that will be suitable for your topic. The core venues are central and are located across the Halifax peninsula. We strive to ensure accessibility and all venues are on or close to major bus routes. Classes generally run for 1-3 hours in length but this is ultimately decided by you, the facilitator. After all of the details have been confirmed we will publish the class on the homepage of our website, create event pages and promote your class via social media.
If you are ready to send us your class ideas please fill out our CLASS PROPOSAL FORM or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
