Winter is an important season for gardening - its the season for planning and dreaming! Do you want to grow your own food but aren't sure where to start? Do you already have a garden but have questions? Maybe you're an experienced gardener and want to geek out with others. This workshop is for you. We'll talk about what you need to get started on any scale from patio to field, look at seed catalogs, talk about easy crops to start with and get inspired for the upcoming season!

Bring one of the following:
A haircut
Help with basic car maintenance
Seeds to swap with other participants
Snacks to share during workshop
Tupperware containers
Unusual/experimental home brew
WIDE-MOUTH mason jars of any size

About the teacher, Robin Johnston

Robin is a fermentation enthusiast and aspiring farmer. Along with her partner Alex, she runs The Bubbling Jar - a small fermented pickle company based in Halifax. When not fermenting you can find Robin talking, reading or thinking about fermentation.
