About the teacher, Mira Chiasson

Mira is a keen adventurer and nature enthusiast, currently studying journalism at the University of King's College. She learnt her survival skills from a professor at Acadia University who taught outdoor leadership/survival courses. After graduating from Acadia, she spent the year of 2015 working as a program leader at a remote outdoor education centre/pioneer-style farm in Australia. As far as her survival skills go, she has learnt a lot in the last couple years but is by no means an expert! But she's happy to share what she knows.
