Get in a bit of a bind with the Halifax Trade School! Learn, with a minimum of materials, how to bind your own books as we make pamphlet stitch and Japanese-style bindings. The basic materials will be supplied but if you have some papers, posters, or collage works you'd like to see recreated into something new, bring them on by!

Bring one of the following:
Snacks for the class
House plants
Postage stamps
Wine or beer
Your own papers (if you have any that you want to use like maps or scrapbook, etc.)

About the teacher, Amber Solberg

With an eye for the odd, Amber Solberg works as an illustrator and art instructor. Hailing from Alberta, she headed east to the ocean and now lives and works in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Since receiving a Visual Arts Diploma from Red Deer College (2009) and an Interdisciplinary BFA from NSCAD University (2013), she's been finding that science, storytelling, watercolours, and humour are her jam (although not what she'd want on toast).
