Successful project management is about managing risks and resources, effective communication and your ability to motivate people. In this class you will learn the basics of Project Management that you can apply to complex projects, but also to small scale ones. You will discover that managing projects can be not just challenging but also fun. I will also present a few simple (and free) project management software tools.

Bring one of the following:

About the teacher, Vincenzo Pallotta

Vincenzo Pallotta holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science. He is a certified Project Manager (PMI-PMP and PRINCE2). He managed several research projects in Artificial Intelligence, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Computational Linguistics, Human-Computer Interaction, and Ubiquitous Computing. He worked at EPFL, University of Berkeley and University of Stanford. He served as a lecturer in Computer Science at EPFL,University of Geneva, University of Fribourg and Webster University, and as a professor at University of Business and International Studies in Geneva.
