Please arrive 15 mins (19:45) before class begins. Each of us has something very unique to offer and contribute to this larger collective. However, due to our conditioning, preconceived notions and insecurities we are forced to fit into boxes and become conformists. Along the way of this conformisms we lose sight of ourselves, our potentials and passions - we lose sight of our true home. We end up spending rest of our lives in rented apartments compromising on one or the other factor without spending enough time building that home (a metaphor). In this class, we will through hands-on approach individually or collectively explore where one's passion and potentials may lie. How could we in the long run keep sight of the same and make appropriate "choices" to continually contribute to that larger collective? How do we concretize the next steps? Note: please be open-mindedly confused and come with no prior conclusions to this class.

Bring one of the following:
45 mins of your time (either for brainstorming, coffee, critical feedback)
a funky keychain
a one-pager story/ experience (your) of a moment of inspiration
a small table 80hx55lx50w (can be old and used)
flowery potted plant for outdoors
Home-made cake or cookies
self-made art with a story behind it
white lilies

About the teacher, Narmada Ramakrishna

Like many of us, I hold this great desire to make a dent in this world - to do something for the greater good of humanity - be an instrument even for the upliftment of goodness by empowering people and projects doing great things. In search for this goodness, I ended up in the world of social business, impactful capitalism, impact investing etc. Currently, running a social enterprise in Geneva building a ethical luxury brand working with artisans in the developing world I can directly relate to the up and downs of being this field. It can be extremely fulfilling but at the same time very challenging. To show that we are not alone in this journey - I like showcasing films like these and getting together with like-minded people to empower them to pursue goodness in their business, put people in the centre of their strategy and follow subjective intuitions rather than the objective mind while doing business. I am also one of the co-founders of Trade School Geneva
