Game is the language of peace that children use amongst themselves. All the children can speak this language without any exception. All the barriers may be overcome and all the disadvantages may be transformed into an advantage by means of game. Becoming game-friendly adults would support the expansion of this language and would enable us to grow children that would bring peace to our world. A few games everyday would do good to your mental and physical health. About the teacher, Tugba Tümer

I graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU-Ankara/Turkey), Early Childhood Teacher Education Programme in 2003. I have worked in the field on various subjects for the last 14 years. During the first two years after graduation, I worked with mentally or physically handicapped children. Afterwards, I worked for 10 years as a pre-school teacher (early-childhood educator) at the METU Development Foundation Schools (METU College) in Ankara. After having completed the “Creative Drama Leadership Training Programme” in 2004, I have actively worked as a creative drama leader and I have organised creative drama workshops in different schools and associations. I have published an activity workbook of 6 volumes in 2005 for pre-school students. Due to my husband’s assignment here, I moved to Geneva two and a half years ago. For the last one and a half years, on a voluntary basis, I have been offering “creative drama classes” in Quartier Secheron to 7-9 year-olds and “game and movement classes” to 3-5 year-olds.
