Do you have trouble answering the question “Where are you from?” ‘Where is home?” ? Did your family move to a country that was not your passport country when you were a child? Would you be interested in sharing your stories through a fun night of arts-based experiences? Then please join me for the “Authentic Arts Night for Global Nomads”! I propose the following: - Creating art together, all art activities will be low skill and insight high. - Awareness about the concept of a Global Nomad/ Third Culture Kid. "Third culture kid (TCK)[ ... ] refers to children raised in a culture other than their parents' (or the culture of the country given on the child's passport, where they are legally considered native) for a significant part of their early development years." - Building a community based on authentic experiences. Lets share stories and then have a drink together :-)

Bring one of the following:
An open mind
Papers/magazines/photographs to use in the artwork
Tape
Wine
Your favorite snacks

About the teacher, Sarah De Latte

I am a Masters student currently doing arts-based research on the concept of home amongst Global Nomads/Third Culture Kids. I realise there is a lack of awareness behind certain vital psychological aspects of growing up cross-culturally and realise that there are many stories not being told about having a mobile childhood. Additionally, you can choose to be part of my research (or not!) and further our understanding of growing up cross-culturally.
