Tribe Porty
19 Windsor Place
Portobello, Edinburgh GB

Join us at Trade School Edinburgh as we learn how to hone drawing skills by practicing portraits! Using pencils and paper, we'll practice line weight, mark-making, measuring distance and making multiple passes through sketches for two hours as we study the symmetry and variations in the human face. This class is for ALL skill levels, beginners are more than welcome!

Bring one of the following:
Good stories or jokes
Old art supplies you don't need (embroidery thread, face paint, paintbrushes, papers, etc.)
Pencils (any grade from 2B to 2H will do)

About the teacher, Amber Solberg

With an eye for the odd, Amber Solberg works as an illustrator and art instructor. Hailing from Alberta, she headed east to the ocean and now lives and works in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Since receiving a Visual Arts Diploma from Red Deer College (2009) and an Interdisciplinary BFA from NSCAD University (2013), she's been finding that science, storytelling, watercolours, and humour are her jam (although not what she'd want on toast).
