Ever been confused by works of art? Starting with Modern Art, which is often portrayed as ‘difficult to understand’, we will discuss the language of art and the differences between looking, seeing and perceiving. Don’t be put off by other people’s opinions or the weighty articles of academics! There is no right or wrong way of seeing. Join us to step towards a clearer understanding of what we are looking at and ‘seeing’ when we look at ‘works of art’.

About the teacher, Janet Armstrong

I am a graduate of Chelsea School of Art, and have worked with people of all ages to facilitate learning about Art. Now that I am retired I an working with community groups to grow vegetables and plants. I am also involved in regeneration projects in Dudley.
