Demystify crochet

4:00p.m. to 5:00p.m.
DY1 Venue
Stafford Street
Dudley, DY1 1RT GB

If you’ve looked at the crochet magazines in shops and thought it looks too hard for you or you’ve managed a row of chain stitch but it all goes downhill after that then come along and let me demystify crochet for you. It really is easy once you have the knack. We will try to produce a basic ‘granny square’ which can be the start of so many projects. I will provide all you need to give it a go.

Bring one of the following:
A surprise item
Any vintage linen items
Good but old men’s shirts (clean please!)
Interesting buttons

About the teacher, Jane

I learnt to crochet from my grandmother when I was about 7 years old and have been ‘hooked’ ever since! The recent craze in crafting and the popularity of crochet in particular has meant that I am fashionable – that’s a first! I am a ‘mature’ lady with a lifetime love of all things ‘handmade’ who has now arrived at a stage in my life where I have the time to indulge in this pleasure. I love trying new things and like to share the things I have learnt and learn new skills from others.
