About the teacher, Poppy Serdari

Poppy is Greek, she has been living in Dudley for 12 years. She has taught Greek in local schools as part of their curriculum. Poppy is a part-time stand-up comedian (well... she did one gig!)

Let's Talk Tomatoes

This class is for complete beginners, no experience needed. It's an opportunity to talk about exciting ways to grow your own tomatoes and other vegetables and take away some potted up seeds to trial at home.

About the teacher, Janet Armstrong

I am a graduate of Chelsea School of Art, and have worked with people of all ages to facilitate learning about Art. Now that I am retired I an working with community groups to grow vegetables and plants. I am also involved in regeneration projects in Dudley.

Super-speedy Quilt Making

In this class you will learn a method of quilt making using strips of fabric. It's quick, it's easy and simple. You'll take away something around the size of a cushion cover using this quilting method. We'll be using sewing machines, but you don't need to have any experience of using them.

Bring one of the following:

Blank index cards (any colour)
Colourful scraps of material or old clothing
Fat quarters (or old shirts or material that can be cut)
Loose leaf tea
Vegan chocolate bar

I'm married, have 2 cats and live in Dudley. I am creative and love to make things out of other people's unwanted goods and upcylce whenever possible. I love all things sewing. I like to read and learn new things.
