The Stones of Croydon

9:30a.m. to 10:30a.m.
Matthews Yard
1 Matthews Yard
London GB

'The Stones of Croydon' is Trade School Croydon's first Drawing School. Intended not for the training of artists, but of people, who, by following the class, ‘might see greater beauties than they had hitherto seen in nature and in art, and thereby gain more pleasure in life’. The class will encourage students to explore the rudiments of drawing technique – outline, shading, colour – through carefully observing and drawing Croydon. Students should bring their own paper and drawing materials, although I will bring some spares too.
