Journalling for Work and Play

9:30a.m. to 10:30a.m.
Matthews Yard
1 Matthews Yard
London GB

Journalling is an effective tool for personal development and creative play. It can increase your productivity and change your approach to work. This workshop is an informal and interactive workshop with practical ideas to help you start keeping a journal, looking at the different contexts you might be working in. We will play about with what to write and ways in which to write it. Working in pairs and small groups we will reflect upon these different 'tasks', but nobody will be asked to share what they actually write (unless they want to!).

Bring one of the following:
A large cappucino (no sugar)
A poem
A purse
Bag of ground coffee (strength 3 or 4)
Cross stitch kit
Flier design for a dance project
Fresh flowers
Notebook or journal with plain paper
Olive bread
Packet of biscuits
Parma ham
Red wine (Rioja)

About the teacher, Anita Wadsworth

I work as an artist, teacher and facilitator in dance, film and education. I have experience of using journals creatively for developing new work; in education as part of a reflective teaching practice; and for myself to untangle my life onto paper.
